Are you the type of person that drinks 2 cups of coffee before getting to work and start a caffeine-fueled scribbling to-do-list. Finding the closest scrap of paper to jot down that days to-do list. Throw it out and start new the next day. Well I’m here to tell you that crumply piece of paper sitting on your desk, doesn’t get enough attention.

Are you the type of person find comfort in writing down you to-do list with markers or colorful pens. In a pink planner or black notebook that would sometimes be mistaken as a man’s diary. (hey we were all thinking of It, I’m just the only one that said it out loud). Are you the type of person have hundreds of random thing written down In your notes app, writing something down for a second when your spontaneously remember something that needs to get done, (obviously it’s always at the most inconvenient time possible).

For this weeks design challenge I decided to create a to-do list.

Different people have different ways they structure their lives. Some people find comfort in writing It down, well for those who don’t and like to use their phone or tablet. Your in luck because I started to design the beginnings of a to-do list that doesn’t bombard you with calendars and times, just simple reminders.

In our race to the bottom of the list, we realize there is no bottom. You soon realize , day in and day out, you load up the day with lengthy tasks we “think” we can get done in a few minutes. I think most people agree with me when I state, that there are definitely not enough hours in the day to get everything done. How do you decide what Is the most critical thing you need to finish first, If everything on your mile long list is Important?

I wanted to eliminate calendars and time stamps, that are sometimes completely in the way. Focus on just writing down the things you need to ultimately do. My idea was to create a design that is completely interactive. You can choose which colors determine and signifies you’r Idea of importance. You can makeshift your own titles. As an example: I described of one of my list as weekend problems. Not so sure if i’m the only person that does specific things on weekends rather then weekdays, but thats the beauty of this design, it can be modified to each Individual.

What do you think of this to-do list concept? Is it something you would use? Let me know your thoughts!
